Tamika Montgomery-Reeves Confirmed to Delaware Court of Chancery

Tamika Montgomery-Reeves as been confirmed by the Delaware Senate to serve as a Vice Chancellor on the Delaware Court of Chancery. Montgomery-Reeves will replace Donald Parsons, who retired from the bench earlier this year.

The Court of Chancery is Delaware's unique court of equitable jurisdiction. It is one of Delaware's three constitutional courts, along with the Supreme Court and Superior Court. Because of Delaware's central place in the incorporation and formation of business entity, courts around the country look to Chancery Court decisions to help determine the common law on issues relating to fiduciary duties, shareholder rights, and other matters related to corporate and business entity governance.
