New Hampshire recently closed a gap in its laws by amending the criminal code to make financial exploitation of an elderly, disabled, or impaired adult a criminal offense. The amendments became effective at the beginning of this year.
The first half of 2014 was a busy time for the New Hampshire legislature. It passed (and the governor signed) many employment-related statutes.
In July 2012, New Hampshire enacted RSA 275:70 (Non-Compete and Non-Piracy Agreements). It provided:
Amendments to the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act adopted earlier this year by the Delaware General Assembly went into effect August 1, 2014.
The amendments are as follows:
New Hampshire has become the latest state to enact a social media access statute, the Use of Social Media and Electronic Mail, NH RSA 275:73–75. The law takes effect on September 30.
