Gary Traynor Profiled in Global Delaware

The Global Delaware Blog has a profile of Gary Traynor, the newest addition to the Delaware Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court is the highest court in the State of Delaware. Its national importance stems from its appellate review over decisions of the Court of Chancery, Delaware's unique court of equitable jurisdiction. Because of Delaware's central place in the incorporation and formation of business entity, courts around the country look to decisions of the Chancery Court (as modified, from time to time, by the Supreme Court) to help determine the common law on issues relating to fiduciary duties, shareholder rights, and other matters related to corporate and business entity governance.
