As Business Law Basics continues to be formatted and updated for inclusion on this website, we present an excerpt from Chapter 18.  These two sections deal with breach of contract, different types of damages available for breach, and defenses that the breaching party might raise to either invalidate the contract altogether, or to excuse their performance of specific terms contained therein.

At the New York Business Divorce Blog, Peter Mahler has an interesting post about recent New York case law interpreting the implied/oral LLC Agreement of a Delaware limited liability company.  As Mahler notes, New York (among several other states) requires that an LLC Agreement be in writing.

NASA is beginning to work with private companies towards exploration and exploitation of the Moon, according to the Verge.com.  Apparently today is the deadline for proposals to construct a Lunar Cargo Transportation and Landing by Soft Touchdown (CATALYST) spacecraft.
